At a meeting of the Board of Directors
of this Association held on the 9th instant, it
was resolved that this Association should express
to you its deep appreciation of the steps taken
to bring about the results recorded in your
letter of the 6th instant. The determination of
H.M. Secretary of State for Foreign Affaire to
carry fully into effect the provisions of the
Hague Opium Convention of 1912 is noted with this
Association's utmost satisfaction. The desire

of His Britannic Majesty's Government to restrict
the manufacture of morphia and certain other
druge to legitimate proportions in accordance
with Article 9 of the Hague Convention, as
evidenced by the conclusion of an arrangement
with the United States, French and Japanese
Governments for restriction of use and abolition of
re-exportation, is also noted with very great
satisfaction.

certain points in connection with the above mattera
in the hope that benefit may accrue in securing
the objecte described.
